Position Description

Manage Branch location to meet and exceed sales, service, and revenue goals. Create, maintain, and develop a Branch team dedicated to the sales and service objectives of the Credit Union. Responsible for leading and developing sales and service activities, expanding member relationships, and external business development initiatives. Manage and work with Assistant Manager as part of the management team. Develops and coaches employees and is accountable for staff retention. Manages risk exposure of Branch and ensures compliance with all regulations. Actively participates in community activities. Works with minimal supervision, self-starter and highly motivated. Works under supervision of Assistant Vice President of Member Sales and Service.

Specific Job Duties

Meet and exceed sales, service, and revenue objectives
Generate sales in the areas of assets and liabilities
Lead and develop a Branch team dedicated to the sales and service objectives of the Credit Union
Conduct external business development activities
Develop, coach, and counsel employees
Manage the risk exposure of the Branch
Ensure compliance with regulations and policies
Actively participate in the local community
Manager, develop, and work with the Assistant Manager
Plan and execute sales and service activities and strategies
Perform other duties as directed
Manage staff turnover

Minimum Requirements

College degree or equivalent work experience
Financial services experience desired
Minimum of 12 months management and/or supervisory experience
Customer service experience
Basic computer skills
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel
Notary license or ability to obtain Notary license within 90 days of hire date
Current driver’s license and own auto insurance
Excellent listening and speaking skills
Excellent written communication skills

Additional Comments

Management Certification is expected to be completed within nine months from hire date

Member Service Agent Part Time - Call Center

Position Description

The Member Service Agent (MSA) will have a solid understanding of all credit union products, services and access channels and associated processes and procedures. MSA’s are expected to meet department sales and service standards and actively participate in regular monitoring sessions to build skills and consistency with other agents.

This Position is Part Time (20 hours a week)

Specific Job Duties

Performs member contact duties which may include handling both inbound and outbound calls. Standards are related to providing a high level of personal service, the basics of proper call handling, knowledge of products and procedures, as well as cross-selling and referral efforts
Educates members about online and telephone banking, the shared branch network and shared ATM network options, in addition to methods to simplify banking (e.g. e-statements, online bill pay, mobile banking and other similar products/services)
Correctly and promptly forwards all sales leads received via phone or Onyx to the appropriate department or personally fulfill the request when possible
Solves problems quickly using a one-and-done approach or, when necessary, acts as the liaison between member and relevant back office department to create a seamless experience for the member
Demonstrates sales and service-oriented behavior and employs a relationship needs-based consulting/sales approach with members
Uses desktop tools within the Onyx CRM program to provide and enhance service levels to members and other departments

Minimum Requirements

Minimum three years retail sales/service experience required, preferably within a telephone contact centre
Some familiarity or aptitude for learning financial products required
Experience in using Windows operating system and associated applications
Excellent English verbal communication skills
Bi-lingual (Spanish) preferred, but not required
Good written communication skills (English) required

Mortgage Consultant

Position Description

To provide outstanding service to members by providing a variety of loan related information via telephone including daily rates and explanation of various loan programs available. Additionally, this position will serve as a liaison between the Credit Union and the member throughout the loan process from original inquiry, through the loan application process to loan sign-off.

Primary functions include but are not limited to: Originates residential real estate loans through selling of Credit Union’s loan products and services to meet the needs of the member base. Mortgage Consultant will participate in related business development activities by establishing and maintaining referral relationships with members, realtors, and various Select Employer Groups (SEGs). Mortgage Consultant will make sales calls to realtors, potential or existing members and other relevant groups with the objective of originating real estate loans for the Credit Union. Utilizes proactive telemarketing methods to build loan production. Mortgage Consultants supports a strategic alliance that leverages the personal member relationship of the branch with processing support by specialized mortgage agents.

Specific Job Duties

Responsible for coordination and management of communication regarding the loan process, the overall member interaction and interface with all parties involved on each individual loan that is originated from application to closing, including but not limited to, counseling and pre-qualifying potential home buyers; taking complete and accurate applications; obtaining all necessary support documents along with the appropriate fee and lock-in information; overseeing the loan process by monitoring loan status and ensuring conformity with terms; assisting in collecting additional documents and promptly communicating loan status to all interested parties, and obtaining loan documentation after closing, as directed by management
Submits completed loan applications with 24 hours of receipt from prospect
Solicits loan applications, manages loans through processing and closing to ensure top service to members. Mortgage Consultant preprocesses by collecting as much credit documentation as possible to reduce approval times
Builds a long-term, mutually beneficial relationship within the real estate community in the Credit Union's primary markets. Develops and implements a weekly sales plan with meaningful call objectives to support growth in loan production. Generates and maintains independent leads for new and future business
Keeps informed of trends and developments in real estate market and the competitive environment, as well as the changing rules and regulations pertaining to mortgages
Maintain a professional image and standards consistent with Credit Union policies and procedures
Establishes necessary relationships with SEGs to generate mortgage loan originations for corporate relocation members
Responds to District Branch offices product questions promptly. Works with Branches to generate referral leads, and assist with the training and coaching of staff. Meet with members at branches when feasible. Provide closing status to Branches. Enters branch applications and pre-approvals into LOS
Service a minimum of 30 member calls per day

Minimum Requirements

Exceptional written and oral communications skills
General knowledge using PC, Microsoft Office applications
Ability to learn to use Summit, Spectrum system, Contour and Onyx
Demonstrated excellence in mathematical and organizational skills
Ability to learn and follow: California Credit Union Law and Rules and Regulations, Provident Board Policies, NCUA Rules and Regulations and Consumer Loan Department policies and procedures
Demonstrated ability and willingness to provide outstanding service to every member and every other staff member
Demonstrated training and proven success in sales and cross-selling
Demonstrated excellence in telephone skills in customer service and problem resolution
One year experience, lending preferred, in a financial institution, including customer service and product sales
Working knowledge of all Credit Union loan products
Demonstrated mathematical/clerical aptitude
Basic knowledge of Real Estate terminology
